Morgan & Aaron’s Wedding at The Olmsted

A grand historic hall, arched windows and crystal chandeliers gave this Louisville wedding a polished, timeless feel. Crisp white roses, soft greenery and a deep navy and charcoal palette carried through the day, with gold accents adding warmth.

The celebration moved from a quiet moment by the window to portraits among stone columns and iron lanterns, then to dinner in a sunlit ballroom. Personal touches, including custom vow books, a photo welcome banner and framed seating charts, kept the day romantic and meaningful.

Invitations and Details

The couple’s stationery had a moody, romantic look. The invitation was printed on a deep charcoal card framed by delicate wildflowers and leaves, and it noted a 6:30 evening start at The Olmsted on Frankfort Avenue. Morgan’s and Aaron’s wedding bands and her engagement ring rested on top, alongside a bottle of perfume.

Beside the invitation were two matching vow books, one marked “his” and the other “her,” in a dark and light pairing. The save-the-date, with a trio of black-and-white portraits taken on a grand staircase, showed how special the venue was to them from the start.

A Quiet Moment by the Window

Before the ceremony, Morgan paused at a tall window with an iron balcony railing beyond it. In a black-and-white portrait, her hair was swept into a soft updo and she wore a strapless gown with tonal floral lace, a beaded-edge veil and pearl drop earrings.

A sculptural high-neck wrap detail, in the same fabric as her gown, added a modern touch to the classic silhouette. The soft light and her calm gaze made this one of the most peaceful moments of the day.

Portraits Among the Roses

Morgan’s bouquet was a lush mix of white roses, baby’s breath and eucalyptus, tied with a soft ribbon. In a playful portrait, her bridesmaids raised matching bouquets of roses, baby’s breath and Italian ruscus around her face, creating a frame of white blooms as she glanced up with a wide smile.

Aaron wore a classic black suit, white shirt and black tie, with a small boutonniere of white spray roses and greenery. In a sweet close-up, he kissed Morgan’s cheek as she beamed toward the camera, the soft green hedges and historic architecture blurred behind them.

Under the Columns

For their couple portraits, Morgan and Aaron used the stone columns and wrought iron lanterns of the St. John’s Day League Infirmary portico. In a black-and-white image, Aaron looked down and smiled while Morgan glanced back over her shoulder, her long train and veil trailing down the steps.

In golden evening light, Aaron kissed Morgan’s hand as she reached up to him from the steps below. Aaron wore white sneakers with his suit, a relaxed detail that suited the couple. Another black-and-white portrait showed Aaron lifting Morgan into the air on a grassy, stone-terraced hillside, her train and veil flowing and her bouquet tucked behind his back.

A Welcome Worth Remembering

Guests were greeted by a tall banner in black and ivory with a flowing script “Wedding,” Morgan and Aaron’s names and the date, August 7, 2026. At its center was an image of the couple kissing on a graceful iron balcony railing, which echoed the engagement portraits on their save-the-date.

Framed Seating and a Chandelier-Lit Ballroom

The seating chart was a collection of gold-framed cards on black iron easels. Each frame was decorated with a watercolor floral design of white roses and eucalyptus, and each had a large numeral and a list of guests.

The ballroom itself was stunning, with navy walls, white-trimmed arched windows and several crystal chandeliers. Round tables dressed in deep navy linens and surrounded by gold chiavari chairs filled the room, and white napkins, glass candle cylinders, small greenery arrangements and framed table numbers finished each setting. The geometric navy-and-gold carpet tied together the room’s palette.

From the quiet window portrait to the portico photos and the chandelier-lit reception, Morgan and Aaron’s wedding at The Olmsted was elegant, personal and filled with timeless romance.
