Beginner Calligraphy Workshop

Learn the fundamentals of Copperplate-inspired calligraphy using brush tip markers in this relaxed, beginner-friendly class. You’ll learn the basic strokes, letter formation, spacing, and rhythm that create the elegant look of Copperplate—without needing a dip pen or ink.
We’ll break the alphabet down into simple, manageable strokes and practice building letters. You’ll learn how to use pressure and release, create consistent letterforms, improve spacing, and develop a beautiful calligraphic style with a brush marker.
You’ll also receive a take-home practice workbook featuring step-by-step letter formation and traceable letters so you can continue practicing and building your skills long after class.
No prior calligraphy experience is necessary! All supplies are provided, and you’ll have plenty of guided practice throughout the class.
