A Colorful Wedding for Kassie & Kendra
Kassie and Kendra’s June wedding at Yew Dell Botanical Gardens embraced everything beautiful about an early summer garden: abundant flowers, soft color and winding paths made for exploring together. Their celebration paired pastel blooms with warm wood, pale blue accents and romantic candlelight, creating a setting that felt as welcoming as it was elegant.
The couple brought their own style to the garden. One wore a sweeping strapless gown, while the other chose a light suit with a pale blue bow tie. From portraits beside Yew Dell’s stone building to a flower-covered cake displayed outdoors, each part of the day felt connected to the landscape around them.

Two Looks with Distinct Personality
Kassie and Kendra’s wedding looks complemented one another while allowing each person’s style to shine. A strapless ivory gown featured a softly gathered bodice and a full skirt that moved beautifully through the gardens. In portraits, its sweeping shape created a playful sense of motion.
The other look brought a tailored touch: a light-colored suit paired with a pale blue bow tie, brown shoes and a colorful floral boutonniere. A bouquet filled with pink, peach, cream and blue flowers tied the suit back to the celebration’s garden palette.
The contrast between the flowing gown and tailored suit made their portraits feel especially personal. Both looks were formal enough for a wedding day, yet comfortable and expressive against Yew Dell’s natural surroundings.
A Ceremony Set Among the Gardens
Kassie and Kendra’s invitation welcomed guests to Yew Dell Botanical Gardens for a late-afternoon ceremony, followed by a reception. The setting gave their June wedding a lush backdrop, with greenery and flowers already part of the experience.
Their stationery offered an early hint of the design to come. A delicate blue floral crest framed their initials, while a pale blue ribbon added softness to the invitation suite. Photographed alongside rings and fresh flowers, the paper details introduced the colors that would appear throughout the celebration.
Portraits Around Yew Dell
After the ceremony, Kassie and Kendra made their way through the gardens for portraits. One photograph captures them walking together past Yew Dell’s stone building, smiling as the gown’s skirt lifts around them.
The venue’s architecture added texture to the portraits without taking attention away from the couple. Stone walls, an arched doorway and planted borders gave the images a storybook quality, while the surrounding greenery kept them rooted in the season.
Photos with their wedding party carried that same easy energy. Blue dresses brought another layer of color to the garden setting, and the group’s bouquets echoed the loose, varied style of the day’s flowers.
Flowers in Every Summer Shade
Florals were one of the defining features of Kassie and Kendra’s wedding. Their arrangements combined peach and pink roses with soft blue blossoms, cream flowers, small white blooms and greenery. Some stems reached upward while others spilled outward, giving each arrangement the feeling of flowers gathered from a flourishing garden.
That style carried from the bouquets to the reception tables. Colorful centerpieces brought height and movement to white linens, while gold votive holders added a little warmth at each place setting.
The palette felt especially suited to Yew Dell. Pale blue and soft yellow kept the arrangements light, while deeper peach and pink blooms added enough color to stand out among the surrounding greenery.
An Outdoor Reception with Warm, Welcoming Details
The covered reception space brought guests close to the gardens while offering a comfortable place to gather. Long wooden tables and cross-back chairs gave the setting a relaxed feel, while white napkins, greenery and tall glass candleholders dressed the tables for dinner.
Round tables with white linens featured garden-style centerpieces and small gold accents. Together, the different table shapes made the reception feel inviting rather than overly uniform.
A mirror seating chart displayed guests’ names on individual cards, each held in place with a dark green wax seal. The reflective surface, curved top and simple stationery made it a striking detail that still fit the garden setting.
Nearby, a display of gold lanterns, candles, flowers and draped blue-green fabric added another layer of texture to the celebration.
A Cake Surrounded by Flowers
Kassie and Kendra’s three-tier wedding cake looked as though it belonged among the blooms. Its lightly finished tiers were decorated with fresh flowers in peach, pink, pale blue and cream.
An abundant floral arrangement surrounded the cake, making the display feel like a small extension of the garden. Set on a wooden table with soft fabric draped beneath it, the cake offered a romantic focal point without losing the relaxed character of the day.
Kassie and Kendra’s wedding made full use of Yew Dell’s beauty while still feeling unmistakably their own. Colorful flowers, thoughtful blue details and two distinctive wedding looks brought personality to the setting. The result was a summer celebration filled with warmth, movement and the joy of being together in the garden.
